I also set all the controls except for throttle to use FSUIPC calibration, in contradiction to this FAQ. That makes it hard to set up the controls, because they will not respond at all even after they are assigned, until the aircraft is started up and engines are running. My first mistake was that the very first thing I did was put the airplane into cold and dark state. I have a separate Saitek throttle quad which I bought to use in conjunction with the joystick. įor my hardware setup I'm using a Logitech Attack3 joystick and I'll assign a couple of buttons on the stick for trimming. There appears to be files needed for GSX support here. I would like it if the fuel app can be run on my laptop instead and use simconnect to set up the airplane. I actually like the way the Feelthere Embraers work, where you configure the load before starting FSX, then calculate fuel and call the GSX fuel truck to fuel up the plane.

I expect what I'll do is start FSX in windowed mode until the plane is loaded and fuelled, then switch to full screen. Don't use the built-in FSX fuel and load tool. The fuel/load app needs to be run while FSX is running with the aircraft loaded so it can configure the aircraft. There is also an app to look at flight data recorder files and a fuel/load manager. There is a checkbox to reverse the throttle controls and so far I left it checked. I ran the configurator app and turned off logging and set up other options to look reasonable. To begin with, I have the 1.10 version with the hotfixes from here. I decided to make an FSUIPC profile from scratch rather than try to recycle one and debug it, since this airplane has a reputation for being troublesome to get the controllers working. I read most of the docs for this plane but this was the first time trying to get it to work.
